Healer By Trade & By Heart

In 2006/07 I attended the Alberta Institute of Massage, in Red Deer, Alberta. In that time, between full time classes, I volunteered for many clinics and hospice centre treatments, garnering a deep intuition to what client needs are, and what they expect from a professional standpoint.

Upon graduation with high academic honours, I started providing treatments in Drayton Valley, Alberta. It was here that I worked alongside some amazing therapists, who helped to guide me through the next few years of this amazing career. I gained training in spa treatments, hot stone therapy, and energy work, as well as Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) in this time.

In 2010, I started my own massage business from my home, while having two beautiful children, best of both worlds. I grew my business further by providing my services within the town limits of Drayton Valley in 2016, and am excited to continue to provide professional registered therapies in this great community for years to come.

In late 2016, I took my professional Doula training with ProDoula, and am currently a trained Labour & Delivery, and Postpartum Doula. I also teach Infant massage classes, both public and private, and love to provide my services to the women and families in my community.

My husband, two daughters and I, enjoy spending our time on our bison ranch, tending to the bison, chickens, garden and pet rabbit. I truly enjoy the country life, and all it encompasses. We currently have 16 bison, 26 chickens, two cats, a rabbit, and a 10 year old bullmastiff! In our spare time (haha), we enjoy travelling, fishing, hunting, and hiking/foraging.

On top of that, I operate a small photography business, capturing everything from wildlife and landscape, to family, wedding, newborn, and even boudoir. All photos on this site are the works I have produced through the years, please feel free to visit www.facebook.com/bugsnbearsphotography to see more of my work, and thank you for taking the time to get to know me, this business and my passions.
